Festival Opening Times:

Camp Site
Opens Friday 6th July 2012 10am
Closes Monday 9th July 12 noon

A full schedule will be printed in the festival programmes, which will be available when you register on site.

Friday:

  • Ceilidh with “What’s the Point” plus guest spots
  • The Folk Club will be in full swing in the Club Tent

Saturday daytime:

  • Stage performances by Scarecrow, The Sail Pattern, Lucid, What’s the Point, Steve Jackson, Grizzled Skipper, Will Morgan and Folk On
  • Workshops on Playing for Dancing and a number of others yet to be finalised
  • Guest appearances by Gren Bartley and Shadows in the Shade
  • Sing-around sessions
  • A full programme of entertainment for our younger people
  • Dance performances by Aelfgythe Ladies Border Morris Team, Bloodstone Border Morris, Long Man Morris, Men of Wight, Mr Baker's Dozen, The Widders, Customs and Exiles

Saturday evening:

  • The grand concert with Tim Judson & Julia Disney, Swing ‘em Fair, and Anthony John Clarke, MC’d by Will Morgan
  • The club song sessions

Sunday daytime:

  • Stage performances by David Hughes, Beachcomber, Walsh & Pound, Second Time Around, Patti Smith & Ned Clamp, Cephalodidge, The Dollymopps, Holly Kirby
  • Workshops on Spoons playing (very popular), The art of song writing, harmony singing, and Morris dancing for beginners
  • Shanty session led by Shadows in the Shade
  • Sing-around sessions
  • A full programme of entertainment for our younger people
  • Dance performances with, in addition, The Oyster Girls, Wight Bells, Guith Carnival Morris, Mystical Fusion Belly Dancers

Sunday evening:

  • The ‘wrap party’ headlined by The Crew supported by ‘All Washed Up’
  • The goodbye song sessions
